Bruce followed up to bid a job through Home Advisor. He explained the approach he would use to correct our settled concrete driveway, discussed other approaches and products available, the pros and cons as well as some root causes of our issue and some approaches to mitigate additional settling going forward. He seemed great, but I had 3 other contractors lined up to look at the job. Bruce's insight enabled me to have very productive conversations with his competitors. As it turns out, this kind of job is not rocket science, but it IS an art. I chose Bruce, because I wanted the man with the experience lifting and supporting huge slabs of concrete without cracking the pads doing the job with the patience and care I thought a business owner would take, verses a crew with a 9-5 mentality and 6 more jobs in the pipeline. I made a good bet, and after meeting with 4 contractors, I decided his approach to pricing the job was the most logical and fair model. I appreciate Bruce's patience in the bid process, as he didn't hound me with decision expectations, and believe this was indeed restraint opposed indifference as He was able to schedule the job and complete the work within a week of our decision. All of these things matter. Bruce is a professional who delivered on his promises and earned a review that exceeds my ability to articulate my satisfaction.
